This pattern is knit with a fingering yarn held 2 strands together, so you end up with a gauge of 5 sts/in.

If you are using a fingering yarn and knitting with 2 strand, you will need about 460yds to complete the pattern.
If you use a DK yarn instead, without doubling it up, you will need only 230yds.

A classically beautiful yet unique cap!

This pattern was originally written for The Point Knitting Cafe. Now that The Point has unfortunately closed, I am selling it through Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/shop/KnitterAtLarge, and here on Ravelry.
