This pattern is for The Crabby Cat Hat, a pattern designed to feature the look of a Crab. It provides ear openings for comfort of wear, and fits a standard sized cat. You can adjust the size of the ear openings and center to accommodate different animals (though those instructions are not in the pattern - you would need to modify on your own).

I would give this an intermediate skill level ranking because of the techniques used. It’s written for a knitter who understands patterns and the techniques identified here, including: i-cord, knitting in the round, basic shaping (increasing / decrease), and easy colorwork.

No gauge is given, as I have found that it’s not necessary for the success of this type of project.
