These mittens make a set with the Daughter Hat and can be bought separately or as part of an ebook. Designed for all the daughters in your life and of course for all those who are daughters, including ourselves…

Yarn choices
Two contrasting DK weight yarns. I used Wooltops British Wool DK in natural grey, and a hand dyed yarn by HookLineandAndStitches on Etsy. For a similar look choose any neutral yarn and a contrasting self-striping or variegated yarn. However, this will also look very smart with two contrasting solids.

Skills required:
The pattern assumes a one-at-a-time magic loop or short cable circular technique, but can be easily adapted for your preferred circular technique. Skills include:

Two colour cast on (written instructions and links to videos included)
Knit and purl
Knitting in the round
Simple stranded colourwork for the ribbing (links to tutorials provided)
Slip stitch colour work for the remainder of the mitten
Cabling without a cable needle (full instructions provided)
decreasing

Pattern contains
Charts and full written instructions for the back of hand and palm patterns. Links to tutorials for the cast on and ribbing techniques.
