This lace shawl begins with a seed stitch neck tab and is worked top down. The neck border continues down each side of the shawl to create a beautiful seed stitch edge.

After the increases are completed the lace is worked with no increases during the dragonfly design of the shawl. The dragonfly design is worked as lace on both sides. This shawl is seamless, so there is no sewing.

Beads greatly enhance the dragonfly design in this shawl. The pattern includes a link to a tutorial for adding beads, instead of stringing before beginning. If you do not want beads the shawl can be knit without adding the beads.

The lace in the pattern is charted with bead placement. The pattern is also fully written, line by line. If you don’t like charts this shawl can be knit totally without using the charts.

The chart is in a separate file and should be also be printed if using the chart for the dragonfly design.
