Get ready for the holidays with these rustic striped stockings. They are easy and quick to knit, so make one for each member of the family! Add optional initials for a polished look. Hang them unlined, or follow the optional instructions to make and sew a custom liner.

Finished measurments: 19” from folded top to toe, 7” across for a 14” circumference.

Gauge: is not important for this project, but make sure you are getting a nice firm fabric to support all the holiday goodness the stockings will contain! I got about 21 st/4 in.

Materials:

  • Approximately 150 yards EACH worsted weight yarn in 2 colors. I used Plymouth Encore in taupe and red, and taupe and green.
  • Size 5 and size 6 needles in 16” circular lengths
  • Tapestry needle
  • Ribbon for hanging (optional, can also use i-cord)
  • Lining fabric (optional)
  • Sewing machine (optional)
  • Sewing needle and thread (optional)
  • 2mm thick white felt for letters (optional)
