This is a very feminine wrap with ruffles on both sides. You may remember it knit in Bellagio for my daughter’s wedding. But I wanted to venture outside my box and knit this in Flax (100% linen). To my delight it came out to be a very stunning piece. Flax starts out rough and I was worried about the lack of softness. After washing, I pinned it out to block and dry. It came out soft and with a beautiful drape. I am also told it softens more with each wash. Who Knew! This garment is knit length wise with a provisional cast on and has a beautiful picot edge cast off on the ruffle. Don’t let the provisional cast on scare you off, you can use a regular cast on and pick up stitches for ruffle instead…..there are no knitting police here!

Materials needed:
5 balls of fibranatura Flax by Universal Yarn (685yds)
Size 6 (4mm) needles, 32-or longer circular needle
Crochet hook and waste yarn for provision cast on
Gauge:
Before blocking, 5 stitches, 6 rows per inch. (Ruffle, 2.5” & middle section 12”). Wrap, 57” x 16”
After blocking, 3.5 stitches, 6rows per inch. (Ruffle, 2.5” & middle section 13”). Wrap, 60” x 18”
