The idea behind gradients is brilliant. I find the many versions fascinating. When it comes to patterns I love it when a gradient kit/set flows in an unexpected way whether it’s with slipped stitches, wrapped stitches, or irregular stripes. The Florid Wrap combines all three.

Details: The shawl is cast on along the short edge and after the initial edging is worked the shawl gets a biased shape from decreasing on one edge while you are increasing on the other. The lace/cable pattern is worked over 4 rows which gives the wrap a sense of movement and flow. The lace pattern can be challenging at first. If you have any problems or questions please don’t hesitate to contact me! The pattern can easily be altered to be wider or longer.
