Skill Level: Beginning Sock Knitter (note: NOT a beginning knitter pattern!); This sock would be a good first step after completing a pair of vanilla socks. The pattern is entirely knits and purls, but does include the basics of sock construction.
Materials: 300-400 yds or 275-365 m of sock yarn. The socks pictured are a size Large and used approximately 380 yds (350m) of Neighborhood Fiber’s Studio Sock in the color Cherry Hill
Needles: US 1 (2.25mm) sock needles (the pattern is written for either DPNs or Magic Loop)
Tools: Tape measure, scissors, and a tapestry needle
Sizing: Small (Medium, Large, Extra-large) socks measure 7(8,9,10) inches in circumference and are quite elastic. The leg height, ankle depth, and foot length are all adjustable to fit and preference.
Gauge: 8 stitches and 12 rounds = 1 inch or 2.5 cm in stockinette stitch
