The Frensham Cushion Cover PDF Pattern. Hand knit your own cushion cover (or decorative pillow cover!) from this instant download PDF knitting pattern. This design was inspired by the sunshine shimmering on the grey sand of my local Frensham Common in England. Popular with the early 1900’s as a summer day out of London by the lakes. It’s still a massively popular day out in the south of United Kingdom today!

This design is double-sided - you can choose which is the ‘front’ and the ‘back’. One side has the shimmering sunshine meeting the sand in a very easy to work colour change pattern. The other side has the different textures of garter stitch with smooth stocking stitch. Little waves like a heat haze in the sunshine contrasting with the flat, polished sand.

Shown here knitted in grey & yellow sumptuous natural merino wool (Rowan Big Wool) but you can use any super chunky yarn that recommends 10mm (US 15) needles. Tension guide and yarn alternative included in pattern. Cushion cover fits a 40cm (16”) cushion pad. Button up design so you can easily remove the cover for washing.

< Easy level pattern. Simple colour change. Chart and written row by row instructions included.

Written in standard English knitting terms.

< Skills required, cast on, cast off, yarn over and a simple decrease.

Finished size fits 40cm (16”) cushion pad.

< Full e-mail support for this pattern is included for free - contact me here or through my website www.rebeccasroom.co.uk

♥ Please do not copy, share or re-sell my pattern or photographs. A lot of work has gone into this from initial design sketches, computer design work, knitting and re-knitting, writing & photography. If you would like to sell a few finished items at your local craft fair or on here that’s ok. I would very much appreciate a link to my shop on-line. Copyright remains with Rebecca’s Room.

♥ Please DO enjoy your finished cushion cover snuggled up with a mug of something warm!
