“From December to March, there are for many of us three gardens - the garden outdoors, the garden of pots and bowls in the house, and the garden of the mind’s eye.” - Katherine S. White

This lightweight hat is worked in the round from the bottom up. The pattern includes five sizes ranging from infant through large adult. Due to the ribbed nature of the fabric, sizing is forgiving. Work is begun on a circular needle, switching to dpns for crown decreases. Smaller sizes may be worked entirely on dpns if desired.

Depending on the yarn used, the hat can be either masculine or feminine. The green variegated version (Adult M/L) uses less than one skein of Fire Lizard Studios Joy in colorway “Garden”, and the wide-stripe version (Adult S/M) uses less than a skein each of Cherry Tree Hill Supersock Select, color Natural (cream) and Louet Gems Fingering Weight, in colors Citrus and Grape.

Patterns for the Reversible Diamond-Textured Scarf (orange) and Dreams Are Quite A Thing Reversible Wrapped Rib Scarf (variegated) shown in the photos are sold separately.
