This pattern is available in print for $6.99.

This is a copy, but not an exact reverse engineered version, of a hat found in the wreck of the General Carleton, a merchant vessel that sank in 1785. It was originally a Whitby ship, and had largely a Yorkshire crew. Knitted items onboard survived due to unique conditions (preserved by the ship’s cargo of pine tar). I used colours Keld (brown), Arncliffe (cream) and Bainbridge (orange/red). 2 balls Arncliffe (with lots left over, in my case) and 1 ball each of the other 2 colours.
