Inspired by a friend who recently moved to the Bay Area and discovered that it’s surpassingly cold there, The Heart of San Francisco is a DK weight hat, perfect for the wind and fog of San Francisco. Across the middle of the hat is a charted ECG of a normal human heart beat. To wear this hat is to wear your heart on your head.

This hat uses basic stranded-colorwork techniques and knitters should be comfortable reading from a chart and working with two colors at the same time. The pattern provides an option for working a ingle color or two color brim.
