this slouchy lace hat still backs a warm punch and features an optional colour change that creates a snowflake star pattern on the top of the hat. Only a small amount of yarn is needed for this colour change (no more than 50 metres). use up your scrap yarn collection!

The Houng is a quick knit and makes for a great weekend project. It works well with alpaca or llama wools, which give it additional drape and slouch. It also works wonderfully with single ply wool or merino, which help to bring out the texture and line work of the pattern.

Happy knitting!
