The Laura iPad Bag is a designed to carry an iPad or other tablet device. The bag is knit flat in garter stitch (knit every row). It is very easy to knit and is an ideal project for a beginner. For the more advanced, you will love the ease and quickness of this project. I am a fairly fast knitter but I can knit two a day -- making it a great last minute gift.

The pattern is written for two sizes. The smaller size saves you a skein of yarn in the single and two color variations. It easily fits the iPad or smaller tablets without a bulky case. If you have a bulkier case, I would recommend you make the large.

The color sequence is a blended Fibonacci sequence. It is easy to follow and complete. Just remember that all of your color changes happen on the right side.

The bag is designed with a flap that comes over the front with an opening for the handle to pull through. It secures the iPad inside protecting it from mayhem.

There are optional pockets for the back side including a pocket that can accommodate the chunky charger. The pattern includes felting information and placement information for the leather handles. The handles pictured all came from Homestead Heirlooms. You can order handles from them at www.homesteadheirlooms.com

Gauge is important -- especially on the small size -- because you could either run out of yarn or make the bag so small that the device will not fit. Save yourself time and gauge!
