The third in a series of four blocks exploring shaping and visual texture in a flat, fairly solid block. This block was inspired by the long light and shifting shadows of evening.

Testing suggests that it should be quite doable for an advanced beginner (someone familiar with basic stitches and working in the round), though directions should be read closely. Special stitches include extended dc (edc) and single crochet decrease (sc dec); all are defined in the pattern.
