Inspired by The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel television show, this vintage style beret is meant to be a show-stopping, technicolor delight! It may look like fair isle, but the magic of this pattern is that it’s all created by illusive slipped stitches and sneaky main color rows, so there is not a single row of fair isle in sight!

The brim is constructed with a stockinette stitch hem for a sophisticated touch, and decrease rows are incorporated slowly to get that perfect, circular beret shape. The pattern includes both written and charted instructions for the decrease section, so you can choose which type of directions best suit you!

Worked in small quantities of fingering/ sock weight yarn, this is an excellent stash-busting project. Or, if you’re wanting the quintessential Mrs. Maisel look, the wonderful folks behind Three Irish Girls Yarn have created three marvelous Maisel-themed beret kits!
