The Mohawk

Supplies: 
Worsted Weight Yarn - When making a Mohawk hat I usually use 3 colors (one for the main part of the hat, two for the trim around hat and I use all 3 for the Mohawk part of the hat and braids. 
US H hook 5mm 
Yarn Needle for sewing in ends 
Scissors 
Large Pompom maker is optional
Must be familiar with: 
magic ring: or you can just ch 2 and work in second ch from hook 
ch = chain 
sl st = slip stitch 
sts = stitches 
sc = single crochet 
hdc = half double crochet 
hdc2tog = half double 
 crochet 2 together 
dc = double crochet
