Introducing the Monroe sweater, a replica of Marilyn Monroe’s white cable knit sweater from 1953. After months of studying the few photos that are accessible of her in this sweater and testing out multiple swatches, I think we are pretty close to the original!

This light worsted weight sweater features three cables down the front and back pieces, modest batwing shaping at the sleeves, a knitted welt across the top, and a slight turtleneck collar. To keep it in line with the original, it is knit in pieces and seamed. Thanks to the heavier weight yarn, the seaming really isn’t too bad though!

Like all Squid School garments, this pattern uses a body measurement x gauge system of pattern writing, which makes it 100% size inclusive and tailored to your personal measurements!
