This will fit most 3 cup (24 ounce) American measurement - round teapots. I mistakenly put 4 cups on the original pattern.

Hi. This is my first pattern and you’ll have to bear with me ~

It is a simple pattern to knit, however, if you are not familiar with the “Bramble stitch” it might be a bit confusing at first. But, it’s a very simple stitch to get the hang of and gives a wonderful texture so it’s worth mastering. Really, it is just a knit and purl stitch and here’s my attempt to explain it:

A “Bramble stitch” is worked over 4 stitches and 4 rows:

Row1: Purl (right side)
Row2: (kpk, P3tog)
Row3: Purl
Row4: (P3tog, kpk)

Working a “repeat” of the Bramble stitch is working all 4 rows.

The part that you might find confusing is the “kpk” stitch. This is simply a double increase. One stitch becomes 3. You knit into the front, back, and front again of the same stitch. Then, the next stitch is a P3tog which is a double decrease and 3 stitches are reduced to 1. Therefore you end up with the same number of stitches (4) after working both the increase and the decrease stitch.

I hope this helps! If not, I’ll take another whack at explaining! The bramble stitch is not utilized often, which is probably why you haven’t seen it before.

I’m working on the blog post for the pattern - but posted the pattern here on Ravelry a few days early as it’s my first time uploading a pattern and I wanted that process to go smoothly before I “posted” it on my blog.

Have fun and let me know if there is anything else that is confusing :)
