I saw a hat similar to this when I was in NYC at a famous designers shop, it was very expensive and made with synthetic yarn. I saw that as a challenge! This is a trend we will start to see more and more of, there is already more than one designer doing these, all in synthetics and not with such an amazingly huge pom pom. The way this is finished, the netting can be easily removed and the brim can be turned up making it quite versatile. Cutting edge fashion or easy jeans and a sweater, this hat goes with it all.

I am getting a lot of requests for the pom pom. I order these from a furrier, they are larger than all I have seen on Etsy but I only sell them as part of a kit. Right now, six are on their way to Steven Be’s. I have more pom poms coming for my kits which are sold on Etsy.

If you have any questions, please direct them to my Ravelry group Vice Love as my inbox here and both of my emails are already clogging up and there is no way I will be able to answer everyone in a timely manner.

One last note. There is another NYC veiled pom pom hat on Ravelry here I just want everyone to know, I spoke to the designer (she is lovely) and although her hat was put up on Ravelry first, I showed her that I had been working on mine since the beginning of December and it is simply a matter of “great minds think alike”. Although how great my mind is is up for discussion!
