Men and women join hands outside an evergreen forest on a starry night to celebrate the message of peace on this triangular garter stitch shawl.

Knit from the center back neck down. The edges are bound with a simple lace edging, and the top is finished with I-cord.

Pattern includes both charted and line-by-line instructions.

Yarn Requirements: Approximately 1200 yards of lace weight yarn. Photographed shawl is made with 4 ounces of Jaggerspun Zephyr. Pattern was also tested in Mondial Merino Fine from Skacel Collection, Inc.

Needles: Size 5 (3.75 mm) 24” circular, a set of double pointed needles in size 5 (3.75 mm), and one size U (4.50 mm) double pointed needle.
