With just a few flicks of her wand and some now-famous magic words, the Fairy Godmother turns a pumpkin into a coach, four gray mice into four white horses, and Cinderella’s torn dress into a glittering ball gown. Scarcely able to believe her luck, Cinderella steps into her coach and rides off to the ball where her destiny, in the form of a charming prince and true love, awaits. Anchored by an incredibly catchy song (“Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo”), the entire transformation scene is among the most popular and iconic scenes in animation and is rumored to be a particular favorite of Walt Disney himself.

Knit seamlessly in the round from the bottom up, this stranded colorwork cowl features Cinderella’s coach sparkling with magic from Fairy Godmother, flanked by orange pumpkins and golden hearts. Smaller needles are used on the easy garter borders, with larger needles used in the colorwork section. Put them together and what have you got? An enchanting cowl that won’t unravel at the stroke of midnight.
