The Red Lady is a pirate queen known for causing trouble on boats. She would dress as an “entertainer” in order to get aboard, then perform a strip tease, revealing (gasp!) trousers!!! And a sword. After killing all the men aboard, she would take the ship out to sea. What a lady!

The pattern involves intricate cabling, which results in a rather tight fit. If you’re at all in doubt, use the larger size.
