This is a pretty easy shawl to work up. It is a top down in my favorite shape, “crescent.”

More than the stitch pattern, I fell in love with this yarn, and the gradual intensity of the color. This by itself, kept my interest in the design.

After the yarn, then, of course, I fell in love with this little shell pattern. I thought I would get tired of it, but because you work less and less of them as you go along, I was satisfied. The Garter stitch in between gives you a little rest.

The shawl is worked from the top down and from the lightest color to the darkest. I couldn’t wait to get to each color to see the change in the shell pattern.

As I was working with this pattern, another design popped into my head for this yarn, so I’m off to start playing again.
