Skill level: Intermediate.
Color work sweater is worked from the bottom up in a single piece with inset raglan sleeves. The entire sweater is knit in the round.

Size: Adult Small (43” bust), Medium (45” bust), Large (49” bust)
Sweater in photo was made using size medium.
Sweater has approx. 4-6” negative ease for a more flattering fit.

Materials: 30 colors 100% pure Rohrspatz und Wollmeise birdies (fingering weight merino wool) yarn - pattern requires approximately 1600 yards.

Needles: US size 4 circular needle (or size needed to obtain gauge). One set of US 4 double pointed needles.

Other: Stitch markers, stitch holders (or scrap of yarn), yarn needle, and crochet hook for provisional cast on.

Gauge: 28 stitches and 32 rows worked in Stockinette = 4” x 4” square on size US 4 needles.

Notes on Colors:
The total number of colors used may be easily adjusted. This is a stash buster sweater so anything goes. You may use more or less color variations as desired. Some of the color gradients used were quite subtle and could have very easily been done with fewer color changes while still achieving the same amazing work of wearable art. Have fun with the colors, don’t feel locked in to the colors and gradients I used.
