There is a thin red line between all opposites… which changes the patterns if crossed.

Every now and then I need a “resting” project - a project that will keep my hands busy and my mind free. These are also the perfect venting projects, when you’re stuck on something, need to clear your mind or pull your attention away from something.

“The Thin Red Line” is a rectangular shawl, worked from side to side in long rows in a very easy stitch pattern. This is a very relaxed project that does not require counting and takes just a bit of attention. Two contrasting main colors and one additional different (again contrasting) color are used. Color is changed at the end of each row, leaving the tails, which are later incorporated inside the fringe.

Pattern is written with numbers for lace, in the same time giving directions of how to use it for any weight yarn and/or size shawl or scarf.

This is the first pattern in a set of three patterns using this lovely houndsthooth looking stitch. There are matching hat and gloves.

All three patterns are available as an e-book on a better price.
