The kind old Tomten shares his bowl of porridge with a hungry fox on a cold winter night.

Inspired by Astrid Lindgren’s classic story of The Tomtem and the Fox, this charming duo would be much loved by any Tomten lover or a delightful way to introduce him.

This pattern involves knitting in the round with double pointed needles, working the Tomten’s hat and the fox’s tail into a curve with short rows and sewing up the fox’s hat with a kitchener stitch.

•1 ‘dad’ size wooden peg doll (2 3/8”) and 1 ‘boy’ size wooden peg doll 1 11/16”) (resources at bottom of pattern)
