The Two Rivers One Skein Shawl
Because natural disaster like earthquakes and tsunamis makes us feel so helpless I want to do something to give back. It won’t erase the hardships that have befallen Japan but donating gives us a sense that we can do something to help people who are suffering.
In light of that all proceeds from sales through April 23, 2011 were donated to Doctors without Borders. Thank you to each and everyone who purchased the pattern!
The Two Rivers Shawl
This quick-to-knit one skein lace shawlette is written for the intermediate knitter. The shawl consists of a simple main body with a knit on edging. The edging has lace knitting every row (with a simple k2tog, yo motif) as well as a (k1, p1, k1) into one stitch increase and balanced bind off decrease in the first and last rows. The Two Rivers shawl has been both tech edited and test knit to ensure accuracy.
I’ve created a thread in the Fickle Knitter Design group on ravelry if you’d like a place to discuss the shawl, or the relief efforts in Japan. It’s a place where we can gather to answer questions about knitting the shawl to be answered by me and other knitters who have already knit Two Rivers.
