“You’ve seen refootable, reheelable and re-toe-able socks before. Elizabeth Zimmerman’s moccasin socks are an old favorite of many knitters, as are her afterthought heels. Other refootable sock patterns have been published, but this is the first one I know of that looks like a perfectly ordinary sock. Bear in mind that this is not simply a sock pattern. It is a sock-making technique. If you follow the pattern and pay close attention to the technique, you’ll be able to convert an standard sock pattern into a refootable version.”
