This 18-page digital download knitting pattern creates a Victorian-inspired tam with a modern twist in 3 sizes. A vibrant, soft yarn with a sheen and long color changes is showcased in this modular pattern, which creates a lovely drapey tam with optional bobbles near the face. Instructions are also given for a Zigzag Tam variation which uses 2 colors of yarn.

The pattern includes illustrated written instructions for creating the tam in three sizes, with several variations, as well as photo tutorials on making a bobble, the Chain Cast On, Gwennie’s Increase (a different kind of M-1), picking up stitches purlwise, Centered Double Decrease, and making a tassel, and also a section on yarn possibilities for the tam.
