I was very much inspired by the 1930s Schiaparelli trompe l’oeil designs when I created this design so I decided to name it The Volstead after the Volstead Act which helped establish prohibition here in the United States from 1920-1933. The pattern uses fingering weight yarn and German short rows to create the wing-like shaping.

There are two PDFs included with the purchase of this pattern, The Volstead (one color) and The Volstead in Color (two colors).
