The Water’s Edge is the first of four shawls being offered in the ebook, The Up North Collection.

Join our Ravelry group The Up North Collection and start on a new knitting journey through Up North Michigan! I am so pleased to present The Up North Collection from KellyJKnits.

This collection of four shawls begins with The Water’s Edge at Old Mission Peninsula. This shawl pictured below was inspired by the thought of retreat and what it means to me. Retreat for me, is always at the water’s edge and especially the place and space that I think of when I think of our family vacations spent on Old Mission Peninsula, MI. A time for rejuvenation and comfort and recharge.

The other three shawls in this series will feature my favorite places to visit when we “Retreat” to our Old Mission Peninsula cottage. Fishtown (Leland), Sutton’s Bay and Traverse City will be just as fun to knit to as they are to visit. I hope you sign up for this collection of shawl patterns, as I know you will enjoy the knitting retreat.

The Water’s Edge was released on 9/5/12 with each additional pattern released approximately 2-3 months apart. We will also begin a KAL for The Water’s Edge on Wednesday, September 5!

Row 5: P2,…..

It should read:

Wave 2 worked in C1
Row 1: K2, SM, Purl to marker, SM, K2
Row 2: K2, SM, M1L, K to marker, M1R, SM, K2
Row 3: K2, SM, Purl to 15 sts before the marker, W&T
Row 5: K2,…….

At the end of the second Wave. Clarified a sentence….

With C1, Keep the 2 edge stitches in garter, Purl across entire row, SM as you come to them and purling the wraps together with their wrapped stitches. Both colors are back together on one side of the shawl.
