Featuring Austrian twisted stitch patterning, this elaborately patterned cap is easier than it looks and would make an impressive gift for a special someone.

The pattern is charted. There are no line by line instructions for the patterning but the symbols are identified and explained in a legend.

FOUR SIZES: This pattern is very stretchy and fits best with considerable negative ease.
Small: Approximately 15 inches (40cm) around and 7.5 inches (19cm) tall unblocked to fit a child up to 20 inches (50cm) head circumference. Medium:16 inches (40cm) around and 8 inches (20cm) tall to fit a child or small/medium adult up to 21 inches (53cm) head circumference. Large: 17 inches (43cm) around and 9 inches (23cm) tall to fit a head up to 23 inches (58cm). Extra Large: 18 inches (46cm) around and 9.5 inches (24cm) tall to fit a head over 23 inches.

NEEDLES: 16 inch (40cm) circular and double pointed needles (or needles for magic loop or two circular method for completing the smaller circumferences at the crown – knitter’s choice).
