This Cowl was designed while cheering for the Cubs in the playoffs in 2016. Named for Wrigley Field it combines some “ivy” and diamonds--the ivy on the walls of the outfield and baseball diamonds. But, you can love this cowl if you prefer other ballparks or just nice plants and precious stones. I hope you have as much fun knitting it as I had cheering for the Cubs. I can guarantee your knitting won’t be filled with as much anxiety and worry!

You can adjust the size of the cowl by changing the number cast on to still work with the two charted patterns. For a longer cowl, you could cast on 350 stitches, increasing to 351 and 352.

Most knitters prefer using one needle size for the whole cowl. If your ribbing is quite loose, you could drop down one size on one or both borders.
