A sock that’s knit completely flat, with no short rows, AND no seaming? How did they do it? Come along with me, and I will take you there to the toe, and back again.

Sizing
XS (S, M, L) fits baby (child/adult narrow, adult medium, adult wide) feet

Finished Dimensions
A Foot width: 2 (3, 4, 5)“ or 5 (7.5, 10, 12.5) cm, measured across ball of foot
B Foot length: 4 (7, 9, 11)” or 12.5 (17.5, 22.5, 27.5) cm, measured from heel to toe

Fit
Dimensions are given for slipper socks with zero ease. For thick boot socks, you will need a narrower sock for negative ease. For felted socks, you will need a wider sock.

INFINITE OPTIONS!
Size is completely customizable to any foot width and length, as well as amount of ease. There are also two options for cuff length, short (pictured in sample) and long! The long length is great for a folded cuff.

A schematic is included in the pattern with complete dimensions and instructions for creating custom sizes in length and width.

Gauge: 5 sts = 1”/2.5cm or 20 sts = 4”/10cm (flexible row gauge)

Gauge is measured over slightly stretched stockinette stitch. Tighter gauges are a-ok!

Yarn Requirements
40 (85, 140, 200) yds of wool or wool-blend worsted weight yarn. One 100g skein will make most sizes.

Yardage estimates are approximate, and assume that the knitter knits to gauge without modifications. Yardage requirements will vary with yarn choice and modifications. Additional estimates for modified sizes included in pattern.

Tools
Any style needle to obtain tight gauge (recommended: US4/3.5mm), tapestry needle, one removable stitch marker

Techniques
This pattern is suitable for an advanced beginner who knows how to cast on, knit, purl, k2tog, kfb, and slip stitches. Pattern Key describes all abbreviations and stitches used. Diagrams provided for special techniques.
