My favorite time of the year is when the roses start to bloom. They come as early as March when the first warm rays of spring bathe the flower beds and last through the summer until finally autumn’s chill tucks them in for the winter. But roses require work to come up beautifully year after year, which means you need something to keep the sun off of your face and out of your eyes while you tend them. This lovely sun hat features a rose-inspired lace that helps you keep cool. You can’t get better than functional and beautiful working together.

Yarn: The yarn recommended in this pattern has been discontinued. You can substitute it with your favorite DK/#3 weight yarn. I suggest something that will be light and cool using a similar content: bamboo, cotton, viscose, etc.

Sizing: As written, hat is adult size. Information is included in the pattern for adjusting size and fit.

Materials:3.5mm/E hook, scissors, blunt tip needle for weaving in ends, stitch marker
