Thinking of Spring can put a little “spring” in your step and get you through the final cool days before the warm weather catches up to the calendar.

The unusual construction allows you to wear this cowl several ways, point in front, on the side or tucked up and under. Created specifically to showcase my hand-painted yarn, it will also look great in a solid color or gradient. Choose a soft yarn that won’t feel itchy against your neck.

Size: One size fits most adults. After blocking the neck opening is approximately 20” around and the front point is 19” from the cast on edge.

Materials
Yarn: DK weight 231 yards, preferably from Black Dog Fiber Studio ;-) Cowl in photo was made with Sparkle DK, a blend of merino, silk and stellina)

Needle: One 16” circular needle in size 8 or size required to obtain gauge.

Notions: stitch markers and a darning needle for weaving in ends.

Gauge
Measured on unblocked stockinette st.: 16 sts = 4”
