This is a lovely lacey shawl. It is deep and has optional beads and buttons. The large size is worked with madelinetosh Tosh DK. This is one of my favorite merino yarns, it’s superwash, luminously dyed and fabulous on the needles. Co on with size US 10 and knit with size US 7. The beads add a glorious weight, that makes the shawl lay beautifully and drape nicely. This is not a quick knit, but well worth the effort.

The small size uses fingering weight. I chose Viking’s Nordlys with it’s monotone striping (2 skeins), the beads I chose don’t scream out, but subtly blend and add a little glint of shine. You will need 942 6/0 Miyuki beads and 28 buttons. The smaller size uses size US 8 needles to cast on and knit with size US 5.
