I enjoyed designing and knitting this comfy cowl. I love Miss Babs yarns and this project is knitted from her “Heartland” worsted wool. It’s soft and lofty. There are many colors from which to choose…I used Slate and Cloak. You’ll need one skein of each color. If you choose to knit this from one skein, you’ll need around 400 yds.

I also added 6/0 Miyuki glass beads. The beads are added by hooking them on with a size 13/14 steel crochet hook. You’ll need 256 beads. If you’d rather not add beads, you can just knit the stitch instead of beading it.

The easy lace design is charted, with other directions written out for the borders of the cowl.
