Beautifully soft, stretchy and warm, these textured boot cuffs will be a valued addition to your winter wardrobe. They look equally as good with skirts or trousers and can be worn up high over the knees with long boots or lower down with ankle boots. Ring the changes by choosing which colour you would like to be dominant and wear that ribbing uppermost.
A pleasure to knit too, with an easily memorised pattern sequence, so a great mobile project.

Finished Size/Gauge:
Yarn Gauge over 10cms of stocking stitch = 18sts x 24 rows. However, gauge is not critical for this item because of the stretch-ability factor of the pattern design.
Size: One size, which will fit most teenage/adult women.
Unstretched: Length: approx 12 inches/31cms. Circumference: approx 11 inches/29cms
Stretched: Length approx 15inches/38.5cms. Circumference approx 16inches/41cms.

Method:
Thistle boot cuffs are knitted flat, working back and forth in rows and turning the work at the end of every row. A long tail is left after casting off and they are seamed using the mattress stitch method.
