The yarn for this cowl was gifted to me by a talented friend who dyes her own yarns with eco-friendly dyes. The yarn and colours are exactly what I would have chosen for myself, and I was touched by the thoughtfulness of the gift.

The pattern for this cowl is easy to work and doesn’t take too much thought – but if you choose to make it for someone else, I’m sure they’ll be touched by your thoughtfulness!

Knitted in the round using a twisted rib then worked over an 8-stitch pattern block which is repeated around the cowl. Suitable for adventurous beginners - use lots of stitch markers, lifelines and mark off your rounds on the pattern and you’ll be fine!

The pattern is written as a one-skein pattern for DK yarn but also works with 4ply (less yarn will be required), and is suitable for mini skeins and leftovers as well as full skeins or balls of yarn.
