I’m new to knitting and this is the first time I have made up my own pattern! I made these hats to raise money for the relay for life program in my area.

note: I used size 6 needles, and some acrylic yarn for the first few, and they fit my head well. If I were making this for a man or someone with a larger head, I would probably use a little thicker yarn. Also, in the future I think I will experiment with wool instead of acrylic--- we’ll see!
