As always in my pattern designs, I hope to introduce the knitter to a new technique. The Intarsia at the edge is easier to knit than it looks.

The lace is charted and written.

The design begins at the neck similar to a neck tab. This continues down the shawl to create a beautiful seed stitch edging on each side of the shawl. For this shawl the edge stitches are one color and the top portion of the body of the shawl is a different color. This is the Intarsia of the design. Twist the two colors on the back is all that is required, then only one color is used across the row. After the increase section at the top of the shawl, the shawl is finished with a beautiful lace design.

Growing up I had this special aunt that was like my second Mama. Then in my early teen years my aunt started her family. Instead of being jealous of those cute little girls, I loved all three of them.
