Three Simple Things to Knit

Very Simple Eyeglass Case, Very Simple Headband,
Very Simple Pouch.

I designed this group of three patterns for the beginning knitting class I teach. These patterns are perfect for brand new knitters who have had practice knitting and purling until they achieve a comfortable rhythm and are no longer making lots of mistakes. Each pattern is simply a rectangle and includes only Knit and Purl stitches with no shaping at all.

Brand new knitters should have a sweet little project to look forward to at the early stages of learning. A small sense of accomplishment goes a long way.

All of these projects are also great for any knitter as beautiful little gifts. Each one takes only a couple of hours (at most) to complete.

Two of the patterns include simple seaming, using mattress stitch, one includes a very short (2”) I-cord, and one includes a single crochet chain (2” long), both of which are used as button loops.

Happy Knitting!
