The design is worked with two colors instead of one (though you could do it all in one color). You work two rows of one color, then two rows of your second colors. When the body of the shawl is finished, you work the first border in your lighter color, and the last border in the darker color. The result is a nice, soft blending of colors.

I used Marianated Yarns because I love the colors. But it also had a luxurious feel and a wonderful weight. The colors are vibrant and alive; the softness of the yarn running through your fingers as you knit is wonderful; and, the weight is nice and easy.

I used 1 skein of Mediterranean and 1 skein of Neptune.
