I designed this headband to go with a pair of thrummed mittens I made for my Sister in Colorado. Her family is into outdoor sports big time so needed something super warm.

You have two choices for how to secure the ends. You can either simply bind off and sew the ends together or do a buttonhole.

I have the thrumming every four rows, but you can do every two rows if you would like it thicker.

Regular wool and roving can be used instead of the superwash if you would like it to felt.

Directions on how to thrum are not included here. Two good videos I like are https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsYjCFuqP28 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJ1szri42r4

The pattern has not been tested by anyone other than me so please bare with me if it not perfect. If you see a typo or something that needs corrected, please let me know and I will correct it in a future draft.
