This scarf is a nod to the famous Hitchhiker by Martina Behm.

The pattern is a simple garter stitch, and the tips are created with a partial bind off. You start knitting with your main color from the bottom end. The “thumb” in a complementing color is added later. The continuous increase is achieved by yarn overs in every row. A chain edge is recommended and described in the pattern. The placement of the intarsia within the scarf is random, so your project is going to be absolutely individual. This pattern is the recipe for your very own Thumbs Up Scarf.

PS : This pattern has not be tested (other than by myself), so if you have questions or find an error, please don’t hesitate to PM me. Thank you!
