This lightweight toque (rhymes with duke) is worked in the round from the brim to the crown. The simple hourglass-eyelets lace pattern gives the hat an intricate cabled look, without the pleasure/bother of cabling! Soft merino and a wide ribbed brim ensures a comfortable fit for all-day wear -- perfect for blustery autumn and bad hair days.

Sizing: To fit 51 cm (56 cm) / 20 in. (22 in.) circumference head with approx. 3 cm (1 in.) negative ease. The hat shown is a size 20 in. modelled on a 21.25 in. head.

Gauge: 28 sts and 46 rows = 10 cm (4 in.) in stockinette

Yarn: The hat calls for a small amount of fingering weight singles yarn (about 50 g / 1.8 oz). Custom Woolen Mills Mule Spinner 1-ply? Mad Tosh merino light? Your handspun?
