Using a KFB can be a tight increase, and if you are a tight knitter like me, then the pattern will have a bit of pull to the increase side - the increase side is tighter/shorter than the decrease side. For me, this blocked out well enough, but if that doesn’t work for you, you could try replacing the KFB with a different increase. Knitting Help has one called “Make One Away” that looks pretty loose as it doesn’t use the previous row at all to make the new stitch.
