Like its northern cousin Aldred, Tikal is inspired by architecture – in this case an edging, resembling the pyramids at the Mayan city of Tikal in Guatemala, features ribbing to echo the pyramid staircases.

Tikal uses garter stitch short rows to create a graceful arc and give the shawl depth. Tikal comes in one size, and the pattern includes written instructions only.

For the adventurous intermediate knitter.
